Housing Hope's Mission
Housing Hope owns and operates 601 affordable units at 24 locations throughout Snohomish County and has helped 328 households attain homeownership through our sweat equity Team HomeBuilding program.
Housing Hope recognize that it takes a combination of housing and support services to give struggling families opportunities to become self-sufficient. Their programs offer critical support to families at each step of the process.

Wockner's Impact
With grant support from The Gene and Irene Wockner Foundation, Housing Hope has been able to provide life-changing therapeutic and mental health services on-site at Housing Hope’s Tomorrow’s Hope Development Center. Additionally, thanks to the support of The Gene and Irene Wockner Foundation, Housing Hope was able to achieve several goals including:
- Hire and onboard a licensed mental health professional (100% of children served by the professional made progress toward their treatment goals)
- Purchase therapeutic equipment including children’s play equipment (dolls, doll houses, play food, etc.) so that children can have a safe place to express all emotions
- Provide teacher trainings on trauma-informed care and incentives for teachers to continue their education
- Increase teacher salaries as teachers turnover and positions open
Thank you once again for your generous support of this essential program. We greatly appreciate the Wockner Foundation's investment to ensure that children receive the services they need to achieve developmental milestones and parents have the knowledge and resources to support their children's success.Fred Safstrom, Chief Executive Officer
